On the morning of November 2, China"s 15th National Games torch relay kicked off in Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. At 17:00 that afternoon, the four regional flames were ceremonially united during the Flame-Convergence Ceremony held at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre.
Yang Deqiang, Director of the National Games Coordination Office of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said in an interview that the four cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have joined hands to accomplish the torch relay, and the collaboration and coordination have been very smooth. This proves the GBA cities" capability to work together on many new projects, including the large-scale ones.
